Sri Lanka (Ceylon) Independence Day
Sri Lanka's Independence Day is celebrated on February 4 to commemorate its political independence from British rule on that day in 1948. This day is marked by a number of events throughout the country, including parades, flag hoisting ceremonies, dance and performances.
