National Grammar Day is observed annually on March 4 to
promote proper English usage in writing and speech, encouraging people to
"March forth" (march 4th) with better language skills. Established in
2008 by Martha Brockenbrough and the Society for the Promotion of Good Grammar
(SPOGG), it is a day to celebrate effective communication and correct common
mistakes.
