Kushal
Konwar was a
“Satyagrahi”, born on 21 March 1905, in Chaodang
Chariali, Ghiladhari Mouza, Golaghat, Assam, India. During the last stages of the Quit India
Movement in 1942–1943, he was the only martyr in India’s war for Independence
to be hanged.
