The International
Women in Engineering Day (INWED) is celebrated annually on June 23 to
honour the remarkable achievements of women engineers and inspire more girls
and women to pursue careers in engineering. This day shines a spotlight on the
invaluable contributions women make to the engineering field and emphasises the
importance of gender diversity in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and
Mathematics).
